Hi, I’m Mona — a wellness author, dog mama, and nutritionist on a mission to help people feel good from the inside out. For over 15 years, I’ve worked across the health, beauty, and medical industries, guiding others toward physical, mental, and emotional well-being with a practical, heartfelt approach.Originally from Borneo—affectionately known as “The Land Below the Wind”—I’ve called Auckland, New Zealand home for over a decade. I live here with my husband, two children, and my spirited Great Dane, Ruby, who has turned me from a travel enthusiast into a full-time nature walker and amateur dog whisperer. (Let’s just say Ruby runs the show now.)My wellness journey began long before I ever put pen to paper. I used to struggle with gut health issues while studying, and what started as personal healing slowly became a passion to help others. As I worked in the beauty and healthcare industry—as a nutritionist, a consultant, and now a self-employed health advocate—I kept seeing the same pattern: so many people were suffering silently, especially when it came to their gut and mental well-being.Living in New Zealand, I also noticed a growing concern—more and more young people were being diagnosed with ADHD, anxiety, and other mental health challenges. It struck a chord. I knew I had to write something that was not only educational, but easy to understand and genuinely helpful. That’s when my first book was born: a practical, compassionate guide to gut health that breaks things down for anyone—whether you’re a busy parent, a curious teenager, or just someone trying to feel a little better each day.Though I started my publishing journey two years ago, life had other plans (as it often does). But here I am—writing, healing, sharing—and loving every step of it.
